Muncy Historical Society hosts juried exhibition of fine arts made in Pennsylvania

The highly anticipated juried exhibition of Fine Arts in Pennsylvania returns to Muncy, courtesy of Muncy Historical Society.  The show will feature some of the most talented artists in Pennsylvania whose works are exhibited and collected nationally.

The tenth annual invitational Artists Exhibition and Sale will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 11, and from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Pennsdale Civic Center Social Hall, 261 Village Road, Pennsdale, PA.

Friday night’s opening includes a reception with complimentary beverages and hors d’oeuvres, and music by members of the Williamsport Symphony Youth Orchestra—William Knauth, Michael Fisher, Juliet Jacques, and Rachel Boll. Friday night admission is $15 per person; Saturday admission is $10 per person. The artists will be available during both Friday and Saturday hours to meet and greet show attendees. Explore Lycoming County Using New Passport Initiative

HOLCKickstart your exploration of Lycoming County with the 2016 Passport Program. Before the program ends on Nov. 16, participants will have the opportunity to experience what it was like to live, work, and celebrate in the past, enjoy what is now offered and perhaps win a prize.

The initiative is sponsored by members of the Historical Organizations of Lycoming County (HOLC), with support provided by the Lycoming County Visitors Bureau.

HOLC, a group of multi-disciplinary partners, is dedicated to preserving and interpreting local history. Its mission is to enhance public awareness, encourage community engagement, support preservation action and promote heritage education. Read the rest of this entry »
